About Us
Friends Illuminated publishes modernized editions of classic Quaker writings — faithfully updated for contemporary readers — and sells them as digital EPUB downloads.
Digital Products
All products sold on this site are digital eBooks in EPUB format. There are no physical goods and nothing is shipped. After a successful purchase you receive a secure link to download your EPUB file. EPUB works on Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, and any standard EPUB reader, and can be sent to Kindle via Amazon’s “Send to Kindle” feature.
Orders and Payment
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and may be subject to applicable tax, which is calculated at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By placing an order you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.
Delivery
Delivery is electronic and effectively immediate. After checkout you are directed to a download page, and Stripe also sends a receipt to your email. Your secure download link is valid for 24 hours. If your link expires before you download the book, contact us and we will re-issue it at no charge.
License and Permitted Use
When you purchase a book, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and read it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publicly post, or share the files, or circumvent any technical protection. Modernized text, editorial notes, cover art, and site content are the property of Friends Illuminated or its licensors. The underlying source texts are in the public domain; our modernized editions and original material are not.
Refunds
Our refund terms are described in our Refund Policy. In short, if you are not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.
